The patent-pending GPS-IDETECT sensor provides verification that a product producing ions/cold plasma is actually working. Many of GPS’ competitors provide a “status” contact that is simply a relay tied into the primary power, which only proves power is applied. An end user would have no confirmation of ion output without a device like the GPS-IDETECT. The GPS-IDETECT is designed for mounting inside of a duct or on a duct downstream from an ion device. The detector senses both positive and negative ions. Once ion levels are detected above a preset factory setpoint (field adjustable), the local LED light will illuminate proving ions are present at a level above the setpoint. An internal control relay with “dry” contact output is provided that can interface to a BMS. The GPS-IDETECT can be provided with optional BACnet and LON communication cards in lieu of dry contact output.

The patent-pending GPS-IMEASURE takes the GPS-IDETECT to the next level. This sensor is designed to be wall or duct mounted and measures ion levels in real time. It provides a 2-10VDC signal to the BMS corresponding to 0-10,000 ions/cc. It has features including auto-calibration, auto-rezero and only requires 24VDC at 100mA to operate.

The GPS-TVOC sensors are designed to measure TVOCs from 0-5,000 PPM to prove what the ions are actually doing to the air quality. These sensors can be duct mounted or space mounted. In some installations, a duct mounted sensor mounted upstream and downstream from the GPS-IBAR proves the one pass effectiveness of the GPS-IBAR system.
